Services
at Holy Trinity Church
are offered in the beautiful liturgical form that has lifted the Church into the
presence of God for more than two-thousand years.
Intentionally God centered; Scripture, prayer, and the Sacraments are the
heart of the services, which are based on the beloved 1928 Book of Common Prayer. All
services are held at 10 am at the Powhatan Public Library, 2270 Mann Road in
Powhatan, Virginia 23139.
Holy
Communion is
celebrated on the third Sunday of every month.
Beautiful and reverent, this service can be traced to Apostolic times and
emphasizes our spiritual union with God through the atoning cross of Christ.
Morning
Prayer is observed
on all other Sundays. Dating to the
early church, when the people gathered daily to pray and worship, this service
is deeply reverent and deeply spiritual. The Litany may be said or sung monthly
on the fourth Sunday.
Additional
Opportunities:
Taking
the Worry Out of Worship
Something wonderful is happening in worship today. People are finding new meaning and hope in the historic liturgy of the Church. Holy Trinity Anglican Church invites you to be part of this Liturgical Renewal in a special service designed to take the worry out of worship. We know many want to experience Liturgy, but worry about making a "mistake" during the service. Our special service will explain each step during the worship. You will know what to do (so you won't stand when everyone else kneels) and why we do it. The service will be followed by lunch and a discussion - question answer session which is free and open to everyone. Liturgy is Biblical, simple, and deeply spiritual. Join us Sunday, July 11 at 10 am.
Other fellowships and studies are also offered. See
“Contact Us” or call (804) 561-0859 for more information.
